The NGOs and schools we partner with in Cambodia are there to serve marginalized kids and their families. Many of those kids are short on the basics . . . basics like school uniforms, supplies, and transportation to school. Many even arrive with empty stomachs. We deal directly with those needs.
Sometimes, however, we can provide a little extra to add something special to the education those kids receive. Today’s report is an example of how we did exactly that by funding a new remork for our NGO partner REACH Siem Reap. What’s a remork you ask? Think of it as a combination of a motorbike and a small school bus. Here’s what Voleak Phan, the Communications Officer for REACH, had to say recently.

Having the remork has made such a meaningful difference to our programs this year. Thanks to your generous SE Asia Foundation donors, we have been able to facilitate so many more excursions for our students. Now we can give them life experiences otherwise not possible for them.
In fact, just today our kindergarten kids headed out on an excursion to the Angkor Botanical Garden. Honestly, it was one of the most adorable things to witness. The excitement on their faces as they explored and discovered everything around them was priceless. These little moments of joy and wonder – connecting the kids with their history and culture – are exactly what the generosity of your SE Asia Foundation donors makes possible for us.
