Our work began in Bali, Indonesia on a vacation in 2005. While there we were introduced to a local “orphanage” caring for 65 impoverished girls. We agreed to sponsor two. The following year we visited our two girls and became more informed about the orphanage, its leadership, and its needs. At that point, we were hooked — and got fully engaged in our mission of Eliminating Poverty by Educating Girls.
This SE Asia Foundation was initiated in 2010 as we expanded into Thailand where we are now actively supporting organizations in Bangkok, Pattaya, Phuket, Chiang Rai, Chiang Mai, Mae Chan, Udon Thani, Nong Khai, and elsewhere. Soon afterwards we expanded our work into Myanmar and Cambodia.
Here is a message from our founder.
